Senator Joe Fain Recognized with Maryann Mitchell Award

Senator Joe Fain was presented with the Maryann Mitchell Outstanding Public Official Award for 2014. He received the award from the Mainstream Republicans of Washington while attending their 2014 Cascade Conference in Seatac.

“It is an honor to be recognized by Former Secretary of State Sam Reed and the Mainstream Republicans of Washington.” Fain said shortly after receiving his recognition from the 2012 winner, Bill Hinkle. “It is truly humbling to be recognized among a history of great local leaders like Bill and Maryann.”

The Maryann Mitchell Award was first awarded in 2003 in recognition of the more than a decade of public service that State Representative Maryann Mitchell provided the 30th legislative district in Federal Way.

Senator Fain joins past winners; Senate Majority Leader Bill Finkbeiner, Representative Gary Alexander, Representative Skip Priest and others.
