Senator Fain was recognized for his many years of work in the legislature to prevent animal cruelty, protect animals in hot cars, crack down on animal abusers, and prevent mistreatment to dogs by their being tethered in inhumane condition.

Senator Fain was recognized for sponsoring and securing passage of SB 5501, which will better protect animals who left in hot cars without access to water by giving first responders greater tools to act in those situations.
